I was so excited when I get my hands into my first ever Windows Mobile smartphone. It is a used MItac Mio A700 . I bought it from a local auction site, www.lelong.org.my for quite a good deal. The device specifications are fantastic. A triband phone, bluetooth and GPS connectivity, Windows Mobile 5, speedy Intel PXA270 processor (520 MHz) and built-in CMOS 1.3 MP camera. Applications loads very fast and the GPS signals received is alway full bar. But the image and especially the video quality taken with this PDA is below average and the control of camera settings doesn’t make much difference.

Until I discovered this small camera application, the Ateksoft’s CoolCamera for WIndows Mobile. The software will only work with certain Smartphones. You still can give it a try even if you Smartphone is not listed (take note: Mine is not in the list). Trial version is available for download. Ateksoft CoolCamera key features:

• Easy camera control. All actions can be performed using hardware buttons only.
• Camera adjustment without leaving view-finder mode.
