Proton rolls out Satria Neo Lite
Local car manufacturer, Proton has scrapped off their production line of Satria Neo 1.3 and replaced it with a basic (lite as they called it) version of Satria Neo 1.6.
It has all the same specifications as the 1.3 version except for its engine (replaced with 1.6 cc).
The price doesn’t differ much from the former and this will clearly affect the second hand value sales of the 1.3 version.
Satria Neo 1.3 (only available in Baseline)
1.3 (Manual) - RM 43,500.00
1.3 (Auto) - RM 46,500.00
New Satria Neo 1.6 Lite (renamed with lite instead of baseline)
1.6 (Manual) - RM 43,900.00
1.6 (Auto) - RM 46,900.00
Proton should have revised the plan to market the previous 1.3 version before it become reachable to public at first place. This new marketing plan will simply kill the value of current Satria Neo 1.3 owners.
I hope they won’t do the same for Gen2. Otherwise, I will suffer from the same fate!

1.6 models is cheap, so go for it.
even cheaper if you take 9 years loan.

im very happy they scrape the 1.3 model.
my loan is short with low interest.
more fuel increase on the way real soon.

shackz, I got NEO at RM 48,500 done so much modification now it’s worth shits! This new lite model at cheeper cost effect 1.6 more you jackass !
It does not effect the previous 1.3 owner at all.
They are damm lucky, I envy them. Their gear ratio is much better than the 1.6. Easier to modify with added surbo it’s just boost up 10-20% power & very fuel efficient. They just pay lesser to enjoy NEO.
How am I going to sell my 1.6 now !!!
